Thanksgiving 2009

Oma came for Thanksgiving, and she and Zoe got along famously. It was great to just sit and hang out together; perfect!

For Thanksgiving dinner, the four of us joined our friends Shannon and Bill and their parents at their home about four blocks away. Zoe wore a sweet little dress Grandma Shirley had given her before she was born - she can finally fit into it!

Zoe and Bill. Shannon complained that he hogged her the entire afternoon since she was stuck in the kitchen with the food. Zoe was a big hit with everyone, and was sweet as pie all day.

Zoe and Oma are fast friends. They played together for four days, and Zoe worked on being able to reach for things. She discovered her feet last week, and this week is working hard to figure out her hands.

Such a beautiful baby! There is no doubt that she inherited her Daddy's eyes. The hair continues to stand straight up; although there is a bald spot in the back now from where her head rubs on the bouncy seat.

By Friday night, Zoe was tuckered out. She fell asleep on the couch downstairs and we didn't have the heart to move her for a while.

It has been wonderful having so much family come and visit us the past few months. It makes being so far away a bit more bearable. Please book your trips to come and see us again in the spring! :)

In nine days Zoe and Mommy and several thousand pounds of baby things will take a big trip to Texas to see all our family there; including Gran, Zoe's great-grandmother. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that Miss Z enjoys flying, 'cause Mom surely does not.
